Cinco De Mayo Omaha

The community of South Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska and the South Omaha Business Association invite you to join our 2008 Cinco de Mayo celebration!

2008 marks the 23rd anniversary of this celebration being hosted by the South Omaha Latino community and it promises to be the best event ever! Last year's event attendance was estimated at 40,000.

We are grateful for the many men and women who continue to defend our country's freedom via their service in the military.

We are honored that five military veterans from within our community have accepted our invitation to be Grand Marshals of our 2008 Cinco de Mayo Parade.

Once again this year, the celebration will span three days and feature a Saturday morning parade followed by a grand fiesta. We will also be crowning a Cinco de Mayo Queen to reign over our weekend festivities, and, new this year, we will be adding a 5K run / walk on Sunday morning and a classic car show on Sunday afternoon.
